UFL: Daunte Culpepper
Several players have made the leap from the NFL over to the UFL lately. For now, many players who seem to be old hat in the NFL are looking to play in the UFL to extend their careers. And, Daunte Culpepper is one of them. Culpepper rumors are all over the place right now, but it doesn’t appear that it will be long before all the information is out.Culpepper played in the NFL last year with the Detroit Lions. And he is looking to move over to another Lions club, the UFL’s Sacramento Mountain Lions to be exact. Culpepper has been around the NFL for a long time but rumors also involve Culpepper looking for off-season work and coming up blank. If he heads to Sacramento, he will be reunited with a head coach and General Manager Denny Green.
Culpepper played his first full season as a starter in the NFL with Green in 2000. Neither of these guys were returning calls regarding this possible switch but more rumors have UFL commissioner Michael Huyghue in Sacramento. Apparently assistant coaches have been telling the rest of the team that Culpepper will be the starting quaterback. If Culpepper makes the move and joins the folks in the UFL, he will be one of the first big name players to join in the fun, but he most likely won’t be the las
